Scott Kin Lindblom leaves Snetterton with more points and stays in touch with the front runners.
Scott Kin Lindblom continues to impress in the Wera Tools British F4 Championship. Over the weekend at Snetterton, the Swedish talent delivered P2, P6 and P4 – keeping third place in the championship.
– A bit of a shame that race 3 was shortened from 25 to 12 minutes after the red flag. The car felt really good and I think we could have taken even more, says Scott Kin Lindblom.
Strong start with a podium
Scott started from second on the grid in the weekend’s first race and held position through two restarts behind the safety car. After a solid race, he secured second place.
– Pretty straightforward race, started P2 and finished P2, he says.
The podium strengthened Scott’s position in the championship and closed the gap to those ahead in the standings.
Moved up in the reverse-grid race
Sunday’s second race used a reverse grid, meaning Scott started from eighth. On the narrow and technical circuit, he managed to gain two places to finish sixth.
– The track is pretty narrow, so overtaking always comes with a risk. Happy with more points, but I want more, says Scott.
Quick in the final race
In the weekend’s third and final race, Scott started from fifth. On the opening lap he moved up to fourth before an incident brought out the safety car, a red flag, and a heavily shortened race.
Despite that, he held on to fourth place all the way to the finish.
– I pulled off some really nice overtakes here. A bit of a shame the race was shortened since the car felt very good. A big thank you to the team and everyone supporting me on this journey, says Scott.
After another solid weekend, Scott Kin Lindblom remains in the fight at the front of the British F4 championship. The next round is already next weekend at Silverstone.
